I am pretty fussy about lasagna. Don't get me wrong, I will eat and enjoy ANY lasagna, but I am constantly looking for the next best thing.
Imagine my shock when crockpot lasagna turned out to be so delicious that I will never bother with a pan again. This could not be easier, and it was just wonderful.
Crock Pot Lasagna
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
4 cloves garlic, minced
½ lb lasagna pasta
4 cups of marinara sauce
1¼ cup cottage cheese
1½ cup Italian cheese blend
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
Directions:
Brown the ground beef over medium heat, add in garlic. Drain fat.
Pour in the marinara sauce right on top, and add Italian seasoning. Then, mix in the cottage cheese and Italian blend cheese. Heat until warm, and combined well, and remove the pan from the heat.
Break the lasagna pasta into halves (or smaller) and place them on the bottom of the slow cooker, then pour in the meat and cheese sauce. Repeat until you've used up the ingredients.
Top off the top of the lasagna with shredded mozzarella. Put on the lid, and let it cook on low for 3 hours.
