Sprouts



In our house, brussel sprouts have always been classified as "Ursula" food - you know, something only the Sea Witch would eat. They are rejected by all members of my family, so I don't make them very often. When I travelled more for work, they were one of those things I always ordered out. But they had them at Costco, so I have been eating them for days, and am just loving them!! In my world, there is really only one way to eat them: cooked in bacon fat. Fry four slices of bacon.​ Trim the bottoms off the sprouts. Cut each sprout in half. Slice up two cloves of garlic (I prefer elephant garlic for this). Remove the bacon and add 2 T butter to the pan. Once melted, toss in the sprouts and garlic. Cover pan and cook on low for 10 minutes.

If you have not eaten all the bacon while waiting, crumble it on top and serve!!!
