With the approach of spring, the hens are back to laying. I apologize to my egg customers, but we have decided to stop selling eggs. We are still raising hens and collecting eggs, but we'll be donating them to the local food bank in our town.

We have a food bank as part of our second hand store. I was in there the other day, and noticed the refrigerator was almost empty. I've been poor, but I have never had to worry about whether I would have something to eat. And I got to thinking about whether I would want to have canned ravioli or fresh eggs. So while it is a temptation to sell our eggs (and a pretty good source of income), I think it's better to help someone else. I hope they love them as much as we do!
